The 2016 ICC World Twenty20 will be the sixth ICC World Twenty20 competition, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament that will take place in India in 2016.India is placed in Group 2 with Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and the qualifier from Group A.

First Round Group Matches of the WT20 2016
First/Group Round Schedule
There are two groups in the first round of the WT20 – Group A and B.In the second round of Super 10, the two groups are named Group 1 and 2. The four teams in group A will play three matches each with each other in a round robin format. The team which will top the Group A will qualify for Super 10 round and joins Group 2. The top Group B team will join Group 1.

The host country and the dates for the 2018 ICC Men's World Twenty20 is to be announced by the ICC. The West Indies will host the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women's World Twenty20 in 2018 and the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2022.
