India cruise into WT20 semi-finals with win over Bangladesh

India restricted the hosts to 138 for seven and chased down the target with nine balls to spare after half-centuries from Virat Kohli (57*) and Rohit Sharma (56) to secure their third win in three matches in the tournament. Mahendra Singh Dhoni batted for the first time in the tournament, scoring 22 from 12, after promoting himself in the batting order. Amit Mishra picked up three for 26 while off-spinner Ashwin conceded just 15 runs for two wickets. Both the spinners were at one time on a hat-trick, but neither could complete the milestone.

For Bangladesh, Anamul Haque top-scored with 44 and Mahmudullah was unbeaten on 33. It was their second successive defeat in the Super 10 phase and leaves them facing imminent elimination.
