Harbhajan helps India thrash England by 90 runs

England Cricket team Indian Cricket team Playing his first T20 International since June, 2011, Harbhajan Singh (4-12) and Piyush Chawla (2-13) spun India to a massive 90-run victory over the defending champions England in their final group league encounter in the ICC World Twenty20 on Sunday. Chasing 171-run target, England lost wickets at regular intervals against India and were all out for 80 runs in 14.4 overs, their lowest Twenty20 total condemning the defending champions to their heaviest loss in the shortest form of the game. Batting first after losing the toss, under-fire Rohit Sharma hit a superb unbeaten half century - an unbeaten 55 off 33 balls - after India started off slowly with Gautam Gambhir and Irfan Pathan opening the batting with no Sehwag in the team. Gautam Gambir made 45 and Virat Kohli 40 in a fluent second-wicket partnership of 57. There was not much significance attached to this game as both teams had qualified for the Super Eight stage from Group A. India will be in Group 2 of Super Eight with Australia and South Africa. Pakistan are likely to be the other team.
