After restricting India to 140 runs, David Warner (63 of 41 balls) and Shane Watson (72 of 42 balls) played havoc and mauled India on a slow track racing to victory in just 14.5 overs, and losing only one wicket. Man of the match Watson smashed two boundaries and seven sixes, and was the only man out, falling to Yuvraj Singh, one of the eight bowlers India used. Earlier Watson took 3-34 and and Pat Cummins 2-16 after Dhoni elected to bat first. For India, Raina smashed 26 runs from just 19 balls, while opener Irfan Pathan top scored with 31 runs from 30 balls. MS Dhoni (15) Virat Kohli (15), Yuvraj Singh (8) and Rohit Sharma (1) all struggled against the Aussie attack.
