NZ vs KEN, Group C: New Zealand beat Kenya by 9 wickets

New Zealand Cricket team Kenya Cricket team New Zealand won the second match of the Twenty20 World Cup against Kenya by 9 wickets. Chasing an insignificant total of 73 runs put up by Kenya, New Zealand wrapped up the match in 7.4 overs. New Zealand opener,Brendon McCullum contributed 17 runs from 14 balls while Peter Fulton pitched in 21 runs off 14 balls.
Earlier, New Zealand lost their key wicket of Lou Vincent. Vincent who started to smash runs right from the beginning was caught by Obuya. He made his 27 runs in style smashing four boundaries and a six. He got out on Odoyo`s delivery.
New Zealand got straight in to the groove as they began their chase of 73 runs. The two opening batsmen made 17 runs off the first two overs with Lou Vincent smashing 15 runs off 12 balls and Brendon McCullum yet to start his account. Kenya were all out for seventy three runs. They could not even manage to play the entire twenty overs. Kenyas 10th wicket, Peter Ongondo was bowled out by Gillespie. He made 11 runs from 9 balls.
